Zotero sometimes fails to save citations from the catalog page when displaying multiple records, however, there is a workaround for this error.
1. Copy and paste a single item link in a separate window.
The single link is accessible via the "Link" button located in the righthand bottom corner (as seen in the screenshot below).
2. Then, click on the Book icon generated by the Zotero browser connector to save the citation.
