Links to books, ebooks, and articles in the library catalog are dynamically created and this is why you cannot just copy and paste the URL from your browser’s address box. To link to an exact item in the catalog you must copy and save the persistent URL for the item, also known as a permalink.
To find the permalink, you need to be on an item's detail page. You can get to the details page by clicking on the title of any item in your results list.
-
In the upper right corner of the item details, you should see a tab labeled “link.”
-
Click on the "link” tab and copy the permanent URL that appears
-
Paste the link in the location of your choice
