Q. Where can I find theses and dissertations written by Fuller students?

If you are looking to access a print dissertation on campus, you will need to find its call number and shelving location. The best way to find a particular Fuller Seminary thesis is to search the Worldcat Dissertation Database by selecting the "Items in my library" and "Books" filters. This will limit catalog results to only Fuller owned print dissertations. You can then find the call number by clicking a desired title, then the link for "Fuller Theological Seminary Library Catalog." Alternatively you can use the "Thesis/dissertation" filter in the standard library catalog, but note that here you cannot separate print dissertations from full text.  

Print Dissertation Locations
Theses and dissertations written by Fuller students are incorporated into the Main Collection. Newer theses (mostly post-1995) are classified under call number ZZ in Basement B. Older theses are classified by topic and are therefore found throughout the Main Collection. 

Theses written in Korean are located in the Korean Language Collection on the second floor. Theses written in Spanish are in the Spanish Language Collection on the third floor. Print theses and dissertations in the Main Collection (including Non-English Collections) can be checked out to your account and taken out of the library like regular print books. 

Some theses are also available in microform. If you need to access one of these (microfilm/mircrofiche) theses please inquire at the front Circulation desk.  

Electronic Dissertations
Many Fuller theses written after 1997 are available in full text online via the Dissertations and Theses Global database by ProQuest. See the bottom link for a portal dedicated to Fuller Seminary Dissertations deposited with ProQuest. You can also search for full text dissertations in the Worldcat Dissertation Database by selecting the "items in my library" and "internet resources" filters. (You could search for full text dissertations in the standard library catalog, but print results will also appear.)

Here you will find digital thesis projects and dissertations archived by Fuller Seminary students, and arranged by program and degree. 

(Please note that full text ProQuest dissertations are not linked to the library catalog or WorldCat dissertation database. If you find a record for a fuller-held dissertation in the library catalog that does not have a "view online" button, we may still have electronic access to it. Please search the ProQuest dissertation database.)
