Faculty can view detailed instructions on how to set up a Turnitin plagiarism review when creating assignments, and how to view your similarity report, in the Canvas Instructor guide.
To enable Turnitin in Canvas assignments:
1. Access an assignment for which Turnitin had been enabled. Enter editing mode for the assignment (click Edit - top right corner of the screen).
2. For Submission Type, change from External to Online. Select File Uploads, and also Restrict Upload File Types (type what formats you will receive, e.g., doc, docx, pdf).
3. Further down the screen, for Plagiarism Review, select Turnitin, then adjust the settings, i.e., when you wish students to see their similarity report (‘Immediately’ is recommended).
4. Select Save at the bottom of the screen.
