Q. I'm doing a general study of a biblical book. What are some very basic resources you would recommend to start with?

Some basic bible study tools include researching biblical commentaries, bible dictionaries, bible encyclopedias, and significant word studies. I would start with a library catalog search for your biblical book of interest in each of the above categories (e.g. Jonah Commentary, bible encyclopedia, word study on "repentance," etc.).
