The “bindery” status means that the book is unavailable until it is returned from the bindery where it has been sent.  When the library purchases paper

back books, they are automatically sent to a bindery where the covers are plasticized and turned into hardcovers.  The whole process usually takes about a month since books are sent in batches to be bound.
