Approval and Library Access

Approved visiting scholars have a letter of recommendation from a Fuller school - SOPMFT or SMT - stating the name of the scholar, research purpose for the visit, contact information of the scholar, and how long they will be here; the letter must be signed by an appropriate representative of the academic department.

The recommendation letter serves as your entrance pass into the library and will be kept on file at the circulation desk during the visiting scholar's initial check-in to the library. Circulation staff will assist you in establishing a temporary library account for the duration of your visit. This account will allow you to check out print resources and serve as your entrance pass to the library (along with photo ID). Please contact circulation at lib-info@fuller.edu if you have any additional questions about the entrance or approval process.

Access to eResources

Approved Visiting Scholars are also allowed to use our eResources for the pre-determined amount of time they will be researching on campus. Please scan and submit your recommendation letter to the library at lib-systems@fuller.edu for electronic access, or request circulation staff do so. The Manager of Public Services or the Electronic Resources Librarian will be in touch with the visiting scholar to set up a temporary Fuller ID account for electronic access.
